Position Summary

Second in command - reports directly to thePilot in Command in charge. The Second inCommand assists the Pilot in Command in safely and efficiently operatingcompany aircraft while in compliance with all applicable regulations, rules,directives, company procedures, and aircraft flight manuals. He/She is responsible to the Pilot in Commandof the flight for safe execution of assigned duties. Must be knowledgeable of the company manual,federal regulations, operations specifications, aircraft flight manuals, andother instructions pertinent to required duties. The Second in Command is intraining to become a Pilot in Command and may be advanced when the prescribedminimums are met.

Primary Responsibilities :

* Maintainscurrency in the aircraft and that his recurrent tests (135.293) areaccomplished on or before the required time period
* Complieswith the flight and duty time limitations and is adequately rested
* Keep the PIC appraised of any situation affecting safety of flight; take part in all departure, enroute, and approach procedure briefings
* At thediscretion of the PIC, the second in command may be requested to performadditional duties such as:
* Filing,opening, or closing flight plans
* Conductingpre-flight and post-flight inspections
* Checkingto ensure required documents, navigational aids, manuals, and equipment are onboard
* Supervisingthe loading of passengers and cargo
* Determiningthat carry-on items are properly stowed
* Conductingpassenger briefings
* PerformingATC communications
* Updates flight and duty time record and determines eligibility for the nextflight assignment
* FollowsPIC’s directions and instructions
* Providescompetent airmanship necessary to ensure safety, passenger comfort andconvenience, and on time departure and arrival

Additional Responsibilities :

* On-calland overtime duties as required
* Onthe job training for new employees

Requirements :

* FAAAir Transport Pilot License with appropriate ratings (ATP)
* FAAFirst Class Medical Certificate
* Hoursof flight time
* 2,000Total fixed wing

* Annualrecurrent full motion simulator training Must pass all conducted drug screens,background and security checks, and prove eligibility for employment in theUnited States

* Abilityto travel internationally
* Mustbe near the NY metro area for a KISP base, or be willing to relocate
