Job Role:

TAA are currently looking for a Part 145 Quality Engineer / Auditor to join our huge client based in the South East on a permanent basis.

Role:

The requirement of the Part 145 Quality Engineer / Auditor shall be to support the Head of Compliance and Part 145 Compliance Manager, in ensuring that the standards of the Quality System are maintained.

By assisting in the oversight and conducting of audits, where appropriate, the Quality Engineer is helping to ensure compliance with EASA, FAA and other appropriate maintenance standards held by GAEL, thus maintaining a close liaison with the UK CAA and other Competent Authorities on matters affecting the approvals held.

The position shall also extend to daily oversight of the system, assisting in administration duties and assist as a point of contact for maintenance staff.

Personal skills:

Possess interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to compile written reports to a high standard.

Be conversant with MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Capable of working independently on own initiative , or as part of a team

To be proactive with the ability to meet timescales

Possess the ability for attention to detail commensurate with the job role

Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the organisation

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years previous Compliance / Quality Assurance experience , preferably in an aerospace organisation engaged in aircraft or component maintenance and repair / modification

Completed a recognised auditors course.

Be conversant with EASA Part 145 regulations.

Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of the applicable regulation to a standard acceptable to the UK CAA.

Desirable:

Have a working understanding of other regulatory standards such as EASA Part M and Part 21 to which the organisation holds approval for.

Previous experience working within an EASA Part 145 environment.

Conversant with ISO9001 or a similar Quality Standard.

Have an understanding of ICAO Safety Management principles.

Responsibilities:

The Quality Engineer / Auditor shall be responsible for:

Assisting in the implementation of the audit programme for all Part 145 activities ,to ensure that the organisation remains compliant with all aspects of the regulation and ensuring that such a programme is undertaken IAW the approved Audit Plan.

Be available to assist in the day to day activities of maintaining a Quality system ensuring oversight of the approvals held IAW the requirements as defined in the organisation’s exposition and associated supplements.

Carrying out compliance audits as defined above to the standards as specified by the audit plan and to report such audits using the appropriate recording medium.

Assisting in the promotion of the organisations Safety & Risk Management / Occurrence System to ensure such remains effective.

Where delegated, to monitor sub contracted activities, by process of audit, ensuring that the subcontractor is capable and where necessary for that company to be approved by virtue of inclusion into the Quality System.
