Paint Tech

Summary of Job Purpose:
Position is responsible for painting and priming sub-assembly parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* -Mixes supplied coating materials with thinners to obtain proper consistency.
* -Applies paint in a consistent manner.
* -Applies paint coats and standard finishes to a variety of parts or products using spray gun or air brush.
* -Performs rework and touch ups on completed products.
* -Ensures accurate prepping and masking of materials prior to paint and prime
* -Utilizes on a regular bases paint guns within paint booths to complete paint orders
* -Maintains databases and log for BOC levels
* -Assures parts are prepped to meet specified requirements through sandblasting
* -Maintains and ensures accuracy of Inspection folders
* -Work from verbal as well as documented work instructions, spec sheets, blueprints, sketches and complex assembly drawings.
* -Maintains and cleans paints guns on daily bases
* -Continuous improvement efforts required
* -The employee maybe required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates
* -Perform other related duties as assigned by department supervisor
Education / Experience:

* -High School or equivalent
* -Must have one to three years of painting experience and mixing of materials, or as approved by the hiring manager.
* -Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
* -This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. green card holder), political asylee or refugee

* - Ability to read and write in English
Physical Requirements

* -While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
* -The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
* -The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
