Based from Alicante and reporting to the General Manager, Risk & Safety, the Overseas Risk & Safety Manager will support the Company in delivering industry leading health and safety standards for customers staying within our overseas resorts. Please note this position is based overseas and involves extensive travel within the region.
In this exciting new position, you will be based overseas and working closely with various internal and external stakeholders to support hoteliers in addressing Health & Safety concerns identified during the audit process. Acting as a champion of Customer Safety and providing support to the Health & Safety and Overseas teams as required, assisting in the smooth running of our on-sale process by liaising with suppliers to complete the required assessments. You will carry out and manage excursion and activity risk assessments where required and follow up with suppliers on issues identified in any audits, helping them address any issues raised and revisiting and reviewing that identified actions have been undertaken. You will advise and support for the overseas teams when they are carrying out the safety aspects of their role, collating and monitoring the pre-season checklists and subsequent follow-ups making sure any ongoing controls are implemented for all Jet2holidays suppliers overseas. In this role you will work on a regional basis, and will be expected to be based in an overseas location, but with responsibility for addressing Health & Safety issues across a number of different destinations.
You will need a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements overseas and previous Tour Operation experience to be considered for the position. A strong communicator you will be able to negotiate and influence at a high level and have the ability to deal with difficult situations and take them to a positive conclusion. You will be highly organized, well prepared and able to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need to have a full driving license with the confidence to drive overseas and the flexibility to work the hours and patterns as required by the needs of the operation.
