Summary:

Analyze product configurations and ancillary product attributes to determine the optimum data configuration for the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Oracle Item Master data files, generally based on formal submissions from Product/Program Management and/or Engineering. Define related product structure BOM (Bill of Material) and accompanying Manufacturing Routings that incorporate Panasonic business operations policies and goals. Provide ownership and accountability for the Master Data process and the resulting business system output, from data functional analysis, system integration, input and reporting.

Major Responsibilities:

Master Data Process – Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Database Management

* Understand and provide business support for current and future business needs in relation to ERP data requirements and system functionality.
* Monitor the accuracy, completeness and functional output of the Master Data through a system of audit reports, checks/balances and analysis tools.
* Troubleshoot and fix data issues in Oracle as reported from the business.
* Ensure decisions and solutions are recorded, risks and issues are documented and plans are maintained.
* Understand and manage the Approvals/Gateway process by determining the data configuration and integration of all additions, deletions and changes in the Master Data file.
* Insure ERP system functionality resulting from changes to data does not compromise critical business information.
* Continuously review, recommend, develop, and implement process enhancements associated with Master Data configuration, analysis and maintenance.
* Implement and utilize Oracle system tools that allow mass data load and data management from external sources.

Engineering Interface

* Review Engineering changes and determine data impacts resulting from drawing and product modifications/changes and insure that changes affecting business operations are flowed down to the appropriate groups.
* Develop processes, procedures and tools for implementing and maintaining product revisions and modifications to Master Data.
* Review product engineering drawings and determine optimal ERP structure for Bills of Material that supports business requirements and goals.
* Develop and maintain accompanying product assembly/rework routings as required.
* Research and identify Supply Chain data for Change Review Board (CRB) and Material Review Board (MRB) daily meetings.
* Attend CRB and MRB meetings to determine data requirements in support of drawing and product modifications/changes.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

* Oracle Engineering, Item Master and Bill of Material modules, engineering configuration control processes, and Product Data Management (PDM) system functionality.
* Thorough understanding of the Oracle system functionality and the system integration of data from various user groups including, Sales, Customer Service, Product Line, Production and Material Planning, Manufacturing, Order Management and Engineering.
* Engineering Change/Revision Management in Oracle.
* Data management and analysis tools and systems.
* Understand engineering drawings and parts lists.
* Advanced level MS Word, Access and Excel.
* Customer satisfaction oriented personality.
* Attention to detail.
* Adaptive to a rapidly changing environment.
* Multi-task in a fast paced environment and work well cross-functionally.

Education/Experience Requirements:

* 4 year technical or business degree or 8 years relevant experience.
* 3 years working with an Oracle ERP system which includes Oracle Item Master functionality, Oracle Bill of Material, Oracle Routings and Engineering Change/Revision Management; Oracle 11i is preferred.
* 3 years PDM Systems.
* 3 years Data Management and analysis.
