Job Summary

 

 

To lead the team of Customer Operations Managers and Clerical staff within the LHR 521B operation, to provide and maintain a high-level quality service by planning and organizing the accurate and complete movement of cargo and mail in accordance with Customer Service Level Agreements, (SLAs), and current legislation. Also, to make sure that Health and Safety, Quality, Security and Swissport Standard Operating Procedures, (SOPs), are adhered to at all times. Control of Clerical staffing levels in accordance with financial and budgetary targets


 
Job Responsibilities
 
  • Organization and management of Cargo Office and Clerical staffing levels, resource and equipment, in line with both operational needs and cost targets.
  • Manage all aspects of Health and Safety and Security.
  • Develop staff through coaching / training / appraisals.
  • Shift planning to ensure all deadlines and Quality standards are met.
  • Complete stats, report on operational failures, on hand list, etc.  
  • Liaise / Deal with staff on rostering issues.
  • Deal with staff disciplinary procedures.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation, liaising with Airlines, Agents and Customers.
  • Attend and hold monthly Airline customer review meetings
  • Manage Security / Quality / Company / Airline procedures & requirements.
  • Good working knowledge systems such as of: Cargospot/UC360/NCTS.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Operational Procedures
  • The ability to work on own initiative, often under pressure
  • Any other duties as may be requested from time to time in order to meet the operational needs of the business.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ISO9002 Quality standards
  • Awareness of Health and Safety within an office and warehouse environment 
  • Proven experience gained in either a Cargo background or similar industry
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good working knowledge of Aviation and thorough knowledge of Cargo Operations
  • Sound knowledge of Cargo Spot and customs procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Full Clean Driving licence

The individual for this role should have good communication skills and the ability to deal with customers and staff in a positive and motivational manner. They will need the ability to react quickly to given situations, using innovative creative solutions.
