What the role is:

To ensure the production, despatch, delivery and service to the customer of the agreed product is managed effectively ensuring that food quality standards are preserved. Operationally focused to deliver activities in line with KPI’s, while driving for culinary excellence in a fast paced environment, you will need energy and tenacity to drive the progress required for this business

What you’ll be doing will include:

*

Liaising withGeneral Manager in the development offorecasts and budget targets which support unit operational plan

*

Ensuring that all unit activities are planned and organised to meet scheduled targets utilising the identified best practice tools.

*

Developing and implementing operational plans, ensuring contingency plans are developed and reviewed for effectiveness

*

Monitoring and reviewing unit performance and individual process performance on a daily, weekly and period basis, ensuring action plans are initiated and reviewed, communicating issues and resolutions as required.

*

Providing General Manager with periodic reports regarding unit/ unit’s performance regarding cost, service, compliance and people.

*

Ensure the unit team contributes positively to achieving an expected level of internal and external customer service, including national accountability for airline accounts.

*

Building customer relationships which facilitate the team meeting business needs and develop business levels

*

Effectively reviewing process performance utilising the information management system

*

Ensuring bar packing exercises and changes in airline requirements occur as requested by customers and are communicated around the network

*

Ensuring all category A incidents are investigated ensuring positive, communication is maintained with appropriate customer personnel and corrective actions agreed

*

Ensuring network performance for key airlines and local airlines is maximised

*

Manage the performance of the unit team to achieve targets and drive continual improvement

*

Holding the daily operating meeting to agree action plans and communicate issues and resolutions

*

Ensure unit wide compliance to legislative, customer and company standards.

*

Supplying periodic reports highlighting customs status by unit with regard to returns and liabilities

What you’ll have will include:

*

An in-depth knowledge of operational management preferably in the food industry

*

Understanding of Operational Management Systems

*

An understanding of health and safety regulations

*

Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate

*

People management skills, e.g. dealing with performance issues, grievances, holidays, and absence management

*

Dealing with forecasts and within budget

*

Computer literate, able to manipulate data

*

Ability to deliver process innovation and change management

*

Knowledge of HMC&E regulations
