Operations Controller

Role Purpose:
Zenith Aviation is a business aviation company based at Biggin Hill Airport.  We are active in all aspects of the business aviation industry including executive air charter, aircraft management, and maintenance and flight support services.

 Key Responsibilities:

We now have an opportunity within our UK Dispatch department in Biggin Hill, to oversee the setup, flight watch and safe completion of the companies flying programme. To undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects as instructed by their line manager. Within this key position you will be responsible for Global IFR/VFR, short range and ultra-long range EROPS / ETOPS flight planning in compliance with Zenith Aviation worldwide AOC’s, flight safety and flight planning laws. You will also have complete oversight and responsibility of subordinates including Dispatchers, flight coordinators and operations assistants, ensuring all operations tasks are fulfilled, AOC and company procedures are adhered to and communicated effectively with both internal and external clients.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

This position will require you to make critical decisions to full filled flying programme operationally and informing clients/personal assistants and crew accordingly. 

Essential Skills:

• Significant proven operational experience
• Sound knowledge and understanding on national and international aviation regulations and the effect on day to day operational requirements
• Experience of Jeppesen systems
• Ideally, experience in a similar role within a similar organisation, together with the ability to deal with complex operational issues inherent to a fast moving environment
• Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences
• Experience of forming and maintaining working relationships across professional and operational boundaries
• Experience of working in teams, including influencing colleagues into delivering consistently high standards
• Experience of continued personal development, including ongoing training and mentoring to promote a cohesive team atmosphere and enjoyable working conditions
