Operational Analyst Qatar Aviation Services Doha

About Your Job:

As Operational Analyst you will design, develop & maintain automated databases to capture record and analyze various data related to department performance. You will support the Management in decision making by converting data into meaningful statistics / information with summarized analysis. We are looking for a Specialist in creating and maintaining databases and statistics. You will monitor day to day operations and identify any trend that challenges resources handling capabilities and shortcomings. You will work in conjunction with Operational Analysis Controller to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of Qatar Aviation Services operations round the clock.

Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:

• Support key system developments and integration initiatives designed to meet strategic objective of Qatar Aviation Services.

• Support implementation of changes designed to enhance business performance.

• Coordinate with all stakeholders to obtain operational data required for preparation of daily, weekly or monthly reports.

• Support the creation of detailed reports on Qatar Aviation Services resources and manpower against key KPI’s. Also develop analytical reports to create a feedback system within Qatar Aviation Services for effective planning and optimum utilization of resources and manpower.

About You:

To be successful in this role you should hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Business, Economics, Aviation Statistics or Engineering with minimum 4 years of job-related experience. You should have a strong background using different reporting and forecasting tools and experience working in tight internal reporting timescales. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills are essential requirements of the job. You should have a natural flair for numbers with minimum 2 years’ experience in undertaking analytical projects with proven track records. Develop solutions using existing infrastructure to capture operational data efficiently and increase data accuracy and quality.

Develop innovative solutions to automate repeated tasks and move from paper to electronic forms. Analyze existing processes and develop multi-user applications on SharePoint to streamline processes. Develop tools to automate the task of report generation from SharePoint data. Successful candidates will have good knowledge of operations in a ground handling environment with 3 or more years’ experience in an aviation environment and/or strategic analysis role. You should be proficient and well versed in Microsoft Office suite and BI tools. Understanding various operational functions of units like ramp, baggage, engineering and customer services to optimize desired resources is preferred. You should have strong analytical abilities and demonstrate interest in data collection and analysis.
