Role Summary:
The On Wing Support Technician will provide quick-turn aircraft engine maintenance, repair and field services. In the role of On Wing Support Technician, you will provide engine troubleshooting, field repairs, and line maintenance while developing positive relationships with customers through outstanding customer awareness both domestically and internationally.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the On Wing Support Technician, you will :

* Take ownership for and follow through on full scope of work tasks and projects

* Inform and Focus the needs of customers

* Build customer relationships through good communication skills and understanding of customer perspectives

Qualifications/Requirements:

* High School Diploma / GED

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in repair of large commercial engines

* Federal Airframe and Power plant Mechanic (A&P) license

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

* Ability and willingness to travel, on short notice, to domestic and international air locations of large commercial engines, as required - will be a minimum of 25% travel

* This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Desired Characteristics:

* Approach work with a “can-do” attitude and a sense of commitment to both team and customer objectives

* Strong communication skills and problem solving ability are a must

* Possess a desire to learn and grow with advances in technology

* Prior experience with GE90, CFM, CF6, CF34 and GENX engines highly preferred

* Prior experience with line maintenance, engine changes, module removal & installation, or LRU removals and installations preferred

* NDT Level II Experience in Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection

* Demonstrated quality, compliance and customer satisfaction skills
