In your role, you will:

- Be responsible to assist the analysts in the preparation of design compliance report and responsible to review the design compliance reports
- Work closely with other teams within the engineering group and provide leadership & advice on certification requirements and interpretations thereof related to occupant safety
- Conduct the investigations of technical issues, regulations and associated guidance material
- Be the primary liaison between the occupant safety team and Transport Canada delegates
- Resolve issues and address queries with Transport Canada and other authorities
- Support the Airworthiness group with their tasks and deliverables if required

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a university degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience
- You have relevant experience in and knowledge of certification requirements for aircraft interiors
- You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving
- You are well organized and are project oriented
- You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision
- You demonstrate flexibility by managing changes and unexpected demands with agility
- You demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success
- You have good communication skills including excellent English writing and verbal skills
- You have leadership
- You are bilingual (French and English) (asset)
- You are knowledgeable of Catia and Autocad (asset)
