We currently have an exciting opportunity across our Management team in Networks. This role will cover Domestic Australia, Jetstar Japan, and Jetstar Asia/ Jetstar Pacific businesses, reporting to the Networks Senior Manager of Jetstar Airways.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the network footprint and corresponding strategic projects designed to take Network planning beyond 2020. You will hold the key networks accountability of your portfolio and will be required to drive network deployment strategies in complex markets, align holding group interests with individual airlines and directly manage and influence decision making within the local culture/business practices.

Core accountabilities include the maximisation of route level and overall network profitability over short, medium and long-term horizons. This will be achieved by identifying structural and tactical network changes, creating fleet investment cases, managing commercial forecasts and directing activities across multiple teams/levels.

Other key accountabilities will include:

* Actively managing capacity settings to achieve Jetstar EBIT targets, aligning decisions with long term strategic objectives and ensuring best Qantas Group outcomes
* Creating and implementing network initiatives that will deliver profit growth each year
* Driving fleet requirements for Jetstar in collaboration with other relevant teams
* Supporting fleet renewal initiatives
* Conducting strategic reviews/roadmaps for business units
* Engaging commercial and operational areas to provide inputs and influence stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes
* Ensuring the most profitable and strategic schedule through constant review of schedule quality and basing strategy in conjunction with the scheduling team
* Assessing the best frequency and aircraft type for each service of the network with the aim of maximising overall profitability
* Analysing connecting traffic opportunities and work closely with the Airline Partnerships area to recommend profit maximising network/schedule changes
* Generating innovative network deployment, using data-driven tools and driving customer-oriented initiatives that improve the long-term returns and sustainability of the Group
* Realising cost reductions by influencing efficient use of crew and engineering time
* Influencing Jetstar business segments and Qantas Group to achieve preferred outcomes
* Articulate strategic/financial importance and complexity of tasks needed to be performed to influence resource allocation process
* Perform line manager duties for one analyst in the pool and guide allocated resources at a project basis
* To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:
* 5+ years of airline network planning, financial/strategic planning, and/or management consulting
* Experience across multiple geographies and cultures
* Functional knowledge across marketing, sales, distribution and customer facing business areas highly regarded
* Senior stakeholder management
* Experience managing complex prioritisation and trade-offs
* Broad knowledge of airline industry and the Asia Pacific market
* Talented leader, capable of delivering business targets, while also motivating & developing people
* Ability and willingness to travel around Asia Pacific
