Regional Express (Rex) is Australia’s largest independent regional airline operating a fleet of more than 50 Saab 340 aircraft on some 1,500 weekly flights to 59 destinations throughout all states in Australia.
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and enthusiastic individual to join Regional Express head office in Sydney for the role of Network Operations Manager.
Reporting
This position reports to the General Manager Flight Operations/Chief Pilot.
Position Responsibility
•Management of all Network Day of Operations functions (including dispatch).
•Management of all crewing functions.
•Administration of Network Operations Centre (NOC) including rosters and staff recruitment
•Coordination of the various Airservices Australia systems (ATC systems) and aerodrome specific systems.
•Reporting and monitoring of the Company’s On Time Performance (OTP)
•Provision of advice on Enterprise Agreement matters in relation to Crewing and Operations.
•Response for compliance with regard to crew currency.
•Management of NOC computer software (Merlot etc) and liaison with software providers
•Prepare the operations budgets where required
•Other tasks as directed by the General Manager Flight Operations/Chief Pilot.
Essential Selection Criteria
•Ability to lead and instruct staff
•Previous supervisory experience
•Able to work and take calls at varying hours when needed to address operational or staff matters.
•Able to work well within a team environment
•Problem solving skills and capable of lateral thought
•High level of analytical skills
•Ability to maintain efficiency and accuracy under pressure
•High level of organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
•Computer literacy of a high degree
•Fluent English, written and spoken
•Experience in Crewing or Operations in an aviation environment
