Job Description

NDT Level II Inspector

Certified Level 2 Inspector – Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

*

Demonstrate ability to perform NDT Fluorescent Penetrant inspections per PCC Wilkes-Barre’s written procedures.

*

Be thoroughly familiar with NDT procedures specifically Liquid Penetrant (LP), customer specifications, work instructions, inspection methods, equipment and techniques used to process parts.

*

Required to pass general, specific, practical and physical examinations at set intervals iaw with NAS410 requirements.

*

Responsible for maintaining, checking and recording equipment gage test results in daily logbooks.

*

Responsible for processing and inspecting customer products in accordance with customer requirements and documenting discrepancies found during processing and/or inspection to the Responsible NDT Level 3.

*

Assist in auditing of NDT processes to ensure compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP

*

Administer training in accordance with PCC Wilkes-Barres written procedures

Minimum Qualification Requirements (education, experience, skills):

*

Aerospace Experience Preferred.

*

Ability to read and comprehend work instruction instructions, customer specific and national aerospace standards and specifications.

*

Working knowledge of Aerospace specifications and standards – NAS410 and ASTM E-1417

*

Ability to interpret and disposition identified material defects/flaws iaw specification requirements.

*

Meet or exceed visual acuity requirements (near vision and color perception) in accordance with NAS410 requirements.

Education and/or Experience:

Two years of experience as a Level 2 (NAS 410 certification) in Fluorescent Penetrant inspection with objective evidence of general, specific, practical and physical examinations from previous employer’s NDT department desired.
