Aeropeople have an exciting new permanent opportunity for an MRP controller and Inventory Manager at our prestigious aerospace and defence client based in Cambridgeshire.

Our client specialises in the conversion, modification, maintenance and support of civil and military aircraft, defence vehicle engineering, shelter manufacture, composite solutions and the provision of personnel, training and advice. They are renowned and respected worldwide for their quality of service, engineering excellence, flexibility and reliability.
The ideal candidate will manage the day to day activities on the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system including spares orders and Product support. To include loading of projects, amendments and spares along with releasing projects to planning, purchasing and the shop floor in a timely manner.

Job Description

* Loading of all projects and product support demand on the MRP system in a timely fashion to meet customer delivery timeframe.
* Timely closure of projects on Access ensuring all parts are issued to the project, allowing rolled-up costs to be visible to project managers and finance.
* Update part descriptions on Access and change part types to Kanban when appropriate.
* Ensure all parts are at latest revision in stores and on the Access system.
* Review obsolete stock and advise of stock to be scrapped.
* Handling all MRP and stock related queries from all personnel, in a helpful and professional manner.
* Ensure all amendments are processed through the MRP system in a timely manner ensuring parts are at latest issue and that parts are issued to the job.
* Play a leading role in all MRP training to all personnel to ensure they can use system appropriately.
* Review and update MRP and inventory related procedures and processes to ensure they are at latest working practices.
* Assist customer support in the management of projects through MRP.
* Management of all non-MRP related stock issues to projects, ensuring all costs get charged to the appropriate project.
