Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer

Job Summary

The MRB Engineer will oversee for all aspects of containment and disposition of nonconforming product including working with other departments and suppliers to determine cause and corrective action to prevent further incidents.

Job Duties

*

Generate nonconforming material reports and contain nonconforming product

*

Work with other departments for disposition of nonconforming product

*

Process dispositioned product

*

Create and submit dimensional nonconformances

*

Issue Root Cause and Corrective Action reports (CARs) related to nonconforming reports

*

Work with CFW personnel and CFW suppliers to provide CAR responses

*

Review CARs for viability, completion and effectiveness measurements

*

Validate Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests for product with dimensional issues

*

Process all valid RMAs

*

Lead, validate and provide 8D responses upon customer request

*

Assist in the continuous improvement projects for chronic nonconformance issues

*

Work with suppliers on continuous improvement activities

*

Issue Vendor Debits for scrap produced by at fault suppliers

*

Generate Daily and Weekly Reports reporting MRB activity to management

*

Generate Monthly Supplier Scorecards

Requirements

*

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) Process/Continuous Improvement (preferred)

*

Experience with 8D analysis and other Root Cause Analysis tools

*

Strong analytical and process skills, demonstrating ability to resolve problems

*

Excellent communication skills and able to work well with others

*

Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail

*

Able to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks

*

Proficient knowledge with use of MS Excel, MS Work, MS PowerPoint
