Position Summary
The Modifications Manager is responsible for all aircraft modification type work to include interior, avionics, paint, and structural modifications and repair for CLA MRO. The following are direct reports into this position: MX Supervisors, interior shop.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the Maintenance modifications and interior department and all technical personnel by;
* Overseeing the daily operations of the respective departments and personnel
* Ensures and monitors quality of work performed by all maintenance employees
* Assists in developing capital and operating budgets.
* Ensures all aircraft maintenance and modifications are scheduled and completed timely and efficiently
* Ensure adequate resources are available to:
1. Comply with Federal, State and Local Regulations
2. Maintain trained staffing levels commensurate with operations conducted
3. Acquire and maintain adequate:
i. Housing
ii.Material
iii. Equipment/Tooling
iv. Technical Data
* Solicits feedback from staff for development of new concepts regarding procedures, facility improvements, processes, and information to ensure customer satisfaction and business goals are met.
* Responsible for and has the authority over all Repair Station operations that are conducted in compliance with 14 CFR Part 145.
* Duties include ensuring that Repair Station personnel follow the regulations
* Monitors and maintains the budget for manpower requirements.
* Reviews applications, interviews candidates, and approves the hiring of technicians and support staff as needed
* May participate and assist with Customer Project Manager functions and duties through the initial growth phase.
* Will be required to perform hands on maintenance on managed and transient aircraft through the initial growth phase
* Will be required to schedule and plan maintenance for managed and transient aircraft.
* May delegate all duties assigned. However, such delegation does not relieve overall responsibilities.
Key Performance Indicators
* Meet budgeted Sales and Revenue for 145 Repair Station Business line
* Meet budgeted expense for maintenance department
* Meet budgeted EBITDA and Gross Margin for Aircraft Maintenance business line
* Meet defined Customer Service Metrics
* Meet defined Safety metrics for business line and other KPIs as identified
Education
Bachelor Degree in Business or Aviation Management preferred
Experience
Must have at least 6 month of Supervisory Experience
Minimum of 2 years of MRO management with a business aviation company preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate aviation maintenance preferred
Skills and Abilities
* Develop and implement a development plan to sustain growth and profitability
* Project Planning and Pipeline Management
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to establish sound business relationships with business jet OEM’s
* Assist with CLA strategic planning and execution
