We are looking to employ a MOC Engineer Engineer to join our Continuing Airworthiness Management team in Luton.

 

You will be responsible for the airworthiness of the Monarch Airlines fleet 24/7/365, be the central point-of-contact & “technical helpdesk” for Aircrew and Engineers.

 

Other duties will include:

 

  • Initiate corrective actions and recovery of aircraft in AOG situations or major technical issues around the network
  • Liaise with Monarch Airlines Operations, CAMO & associated departments regarding aircraft technical status
  • Maintain an overview of all work requests to ensure fleet airworthiness and to ensure any fleet ADDs are proactively managed and effectively controlled.
  • Establish good communications with Line Maintenance stations
  • Provide 24/7 technical guidance to Monarch Pilots and contracted Engineers.
  • Maintain an overview of fleet defects and control accordingly.
  • Maintain an overview of all work requested to ensure fleet airworthiness

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Apprenticeship trained and holder of, or recently held, a B1 airframe license and approvals on any of the aircraft types detailed below and have proven practical aircraft maintenance experience or previous Technical Services experience 

Or

  • Hold an HNC/HND/Degree in an aerospace related discipline with previous experience in a maintenance and/or Technical Services environment dealing with powerplant issues

 

Skills:

 

To be able to work within a small CAMO team engaging in all aspects of Airworthiness Control in accordance with EASA Part M individuals must have acquired:

(a) Vast experience in continuing airworthiness, and

(b) an appropriate license in compliance with Annex III (Part-66) or an aeronautical degree

or a national equivalent; and

(c) formal aeronautical maintenance training; and

(d) a position within the approved organisation with appropriate responsibilities.

(e) Working knowledge of EMM`s & ability to request OEM data for repair solutions not contained in the EMM

 

Experience/Education:

  • A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance technician qualification or equivalent

 

‘Relevant Engineering Degree’ means an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, structures or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft.

 

  • Previous structural experience on one or more of the following aircraft types desirable but other types would be acceptable:
    • Airbus A319/A320/A321 - fitted with the CFM 56 and IAE V2500 Engines
    • Boeing 737 Classic & NG - fitted with the CFM 56 Engine
    • Boeing 737 Max - fitted with the CFMI Leap1B Engine
  • You must have an adequate understanding of the relevant aircraft and its powerplant together with the associated organisation procedures

  • Must be able to work as a team member
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised to a satisfactory standard.
  • The ability to prioritise
  • Working to differing timeframes is essential
  • Must be a confident communicator
  • Proven ability with negotiation skills
  • Report writing skills are essential
  • The ability to utilise current IT programmes
  • Ability to travel to other sites as necessary element
  • Good understanding of AMOS desirable but not essential
