ROLE OVERVIEW: Be in on the ground floor and work on one of the latest advances of the most iconic and innovative designs for Future Mission system and Unmanned Air Vehicles. We seek Mission Systems Engineers X9 to work on challenging new cutting edge Mission Systems projects.

There are opportunities requiring a range of experience across the engineering lifecycle in multiple disciplines including System Architectures, System Design and domain modelling, Safety, Security and Software using a Model Based System Engineering approach.

AT THE COAL FACE TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in multiple lifecycle stages of the design process from requirements capture, analysis and Verification through functional design, through to definition of high level software requirements definition.
  • Use of modern process and toolset techniques, Model Based System Engineering, SYSML, Artisan.
  • Collaborative working with Partnering companies in the development / Specification of specific Mission System architecture components.
  • Assisting with the safety analysis of the system design, providing information to project safety engineers, pertinent to your area of work, to enable them to complete the Safety Assessment of the overall system.

NICE TO HAVE ABILITY IN SEVERAL OF THE FOLLOWING

  • Integrated Health Monitoring
  • Airspace Integration of Unmanned Air Systems
  • Air Navigation principals
  • Knowledge of data management systems, including the storage and transfer of data between systems (example Flight Data Load), and air vehicle configuration management.
  • Ground Based UAV UCS / Military Air Vehicle displays and control systems.
  • Development experience of Automated / Autonomous systems preferably in the context of Unmanned Air Systems.
  • Systems development one or more stages of the systems engineering lifecycle/ V-model.
  • Systems engineering disciplines (Requirements analysis, System / Sub-system model development / validation and requirements definition, within a complex engineering product.
  • Experience of using System modelling tools.
  • Working knowledge of UML/SysML.
  • Aircraft systems/ mission systems

ADDITIONAL SECURITY INFORMATION: WE SEEK 9 MISSION SYSTEMS ENGINEERS WHO HAVE WORKED IN A MILITARY / DEFENCE ENVIRONMENT / INDUSTRY WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS OR WHO ARE CAPABLE OF OBTAINING SECURITY CLEARANCE (SC LEVEL MINIMUM)
