Mechanical Engineering Intern

Job Description

* Creating and/or maintaining design documentation

* Fabricating and assembling test equipment and fixtures

* Monitoring tests, collecting and analyzing data

* Other duties as required

Interns will typically support one (1) or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects, as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment

* Familiarity with use of basic hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Some experience with Microsoft Office Applications

* Experience with AutoCad or similar CAD software a plus but not required

* Familiarity with LabVIEW test software a plus but not required

Basic Qualifications:

* You must be 18 years of age by 5/31/19

* You must be a US Citizen

* Completion of at least one (1) year of undergraduate engineering studies in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field

* Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
