We are searching for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in Goleta, CA.
Job Summary:
*
The Mechanical Engineer works within customer specifications to design various size positioners and antenna systems.
*
Responsible for performing mechanical analysis of the systems being designed.
Additional Responsibilities:
*
Performs mechanical and dimensional analysis of the systems designed.
*
Primary area of expertise shall be in the design of rotating mechanisms and packaging of electro-mechanical, electrical, and microwave components.
*
Documents design, detail, and manufacturing of finished products.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Education:
*
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree or 5 years equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
*
Five (3) years minimum experience in use of PC based CAD and desktop software, AutoCAD, or Pro-E, or Solidworks.
*
MS Word and Excel expertise.
*
A background in mechanical design including chassis design, aluminum/steel component fabrication, rotating mechanism design.
*
Ability to analyze mechanical structures, gear trains, bearings, and composite structures.
*
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*
Proposal writing to customer requirement specifications.
*
Ability to follow project from concept through design, detail, and manufacturing of finished products.

Other Work Requirements:

Travel up to 10% of the time may be required.
This position is contingent upon MariPro receiving an award for a Undersea Cable program (the “Program”), which is currently in source selection review. MariPro anticipates that an award decision will be made in Q1 2019. MariPro plans to conduct interviews and make a contingent offer under this requisition prior to award and then proceed with onboarding of the successful candidate upon award to MariPro for the Program. In the event MariPro does not receive an award for the Program, this requisition will be cancelled and any contingent offers issued thereunder will be withdrawn.
