Mechanical Drafter Tooling

Description

This position is responsible to provide engineering drawings to support product manufacturing. Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) the employee will create tooling designs that are used in manufacturing parts and will work to improve tooling designs used in the current processes.

Principal Responsibilities:
* Reviews manufacturing needs and designs to meet product, process, and machinery capabilities/requirements.
* Various duties as assigned by supervisor, generally within the department.
* Maintain tooling design queue list & identification records.
* Develop layouts and drawings from sketches or verbal instructions received from Manufacturing or Product Engineering.
* Provide drafting support for the development of new product production and maintenance of existing product production.
* Confirm all tooling & fixtures are conceived before time when the manufacturing process commences.
* Design tooling for new processes and improve existing processes.

Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) encouraged to apply!
