OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

l  The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and  Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135 fleet.

l  Non-certifying role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

l  Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.

l  Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.

l  Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.

l  Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.

l  Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.

l  Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general house keeping responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

• Experience of Base Maintenance.
• Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.

DESIRABLE

• Experience of Military Aviation.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

ESSENTIAL

l  Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.

l  Knowledge of specialised  test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.

l  Must have up to date knowledge of :

• Flight/Airport Operations
• Aircraft Line Maintenance
• Aircraft Base Maintenance.

DESIRABLE

l  Knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIAL TRAINING

ESSENTIAL

• Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.

DESIRABLE

• Experience on H135.
