As an Automotive Ground Service Mechanic Level II, you will be responsible for maintaining SkyWest ground equipment and supporting ramp personnel to promote safety and on time arrivals/departures.
* One year automotive/ground service equipment related experience or training
* Ability to work nights, early morning, weekends, holidays, extended shifts and rotating shifts
* Ability to work in an outdoor environment in inclement weather
* Positive attitude, self-motivated, quick learner, and team player Safety and detailed oriented
* Must be able to work independently
* Basic Computer Skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Must possess a valid driver license
* Completion of 10 - 15 GSE tests assigned by management in 6 month time frame
Minimum Requirements
Basic Tool Set:
* Standard Sockets: ¼”, 3/8”, and ½” drive with ratchets and extensions must range from ¼” to 1 1/4” deep and shallow
* Metric Sockets: must range from 8mm - 19 mm deep and shallow
* Standard Wrenches: standard ¼” to 1 ¼”
* Metric Wrenches: 8mm -19 mm
* Allen Wrenches: standard and metric
* Screwdrivers: Phillips, Flat Head, and Torx
* Pliers: Standard and needle nose pliers, and channel locks
* Impact Gun and Sockets: Pneumatic 1/2” and 3/8”
* Pry bars (variety of lengths)
* Automotive meter (fluke) with hertz capability
* Wire cutters, wire strippers, and wire crimpers
* Hammer
* Tool box and travel case
Preferred Skills:
* ASE Certifications in brakes, steering and suspension, electrical and diesel engines
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
* Automotive Schooling
Physical and Other Requirements
* Possible/minimal travel as needed-multiple day trips and overnights (Flying and Driving)
* Must have ability to lift 60+ pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
* Must be 18 years or older
