Materials Engineer to work as a consultant and a focal point for materials selection, processing, handling and disposal - based in Dorset with competitive salary and benefits package

You will develop plans for current and developing legislation, including REACH, ensuring product compliance for our programs and our customers.


Responsibilities and Experience of a Materials Engineer

Legislative compliance (REACH)/ RoHS
Engineering/ Materials Degree
Work in a commercial Manufacturing/Engineering Environment
Materials conformity to design standards/ specifications
Understanding of current and developing legislation.
Act as focal point for materials selection, processing, handling & disposal.
Develop plans for compliance with legislation, including REACH, RoHs.
Ensure that products comply with all applicable technical, regulatory and legal requirements.
Prepare all related documentation such as REACH dossier applications.
Technical focal point
Establishment of REACH strategy.
Development of a compliance reporting system.
Development of a materials inventory.
Development of a materials obsolescence plan.
