Our Landing Systems Business Unit headquartered in Troy, Ohio designs, tests and manufactures a wide range of fully integrated landing systems. Our innovative solutions include lighter-weight, high-strength materials; more electric technologies; DURACARB carbon friction material; EDL extended life configurations; and innovative gear and wheel design.

We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer I at our Troy location:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include:

* Assure processes, including equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work in support of the following processes: Machining, Anodize, Chemical Etch, Aluminum Conversion Coating, Flourescent Penetrant Inspection, Waste Water Treatment, and Shotpeen.
* Continuously improve quality and productivity using the Ace Operating System for products and processes including compliance to these processes.
* Identify and implement cost savings as related to direct and indirect labor savings, and expense account budgets.
* Ability to lead activities related to compliance audits including AS9100, NADCAP, etc.
* Provide technical support for serving as liaison between Value Streams, Quality Assurance, EH&S and Design Engineering.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

* Proven record of continuous improvement projects while embracing the daily use of these lean tools in a team environment.
* Intermediate user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including MS Project. Experience with intermediate level functions in Excel such as analysis toolpack and macro programming.
* Ability to work independently and with small teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Machining experience including: fixture design, tooling, tool life management, CNC Programming and Geometric Dimensioning/Tolerancing (GDAT).
* Project and Budget Management.
* AS9100 experience is a plus
* Design experience with Siemens NX is a strong plus.

Education:
* Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. with minimum 1 year experience supporting manufacturing operations, either through full-time, internship or co-op employment.
