Position Summary:

Working with minimal assistance, at the direction of the product development manager, entry level manufacturing technicians assist in developing new product or optimizing existing product. This includes proofing new and or optimized programs, performing first part runs on new product and tooling. Competencies include intermediate knowledge of shop math, print reading, inspection processes and manufacturing with a concentration in machining, as well as demonstrate intermediate trouble shooting skills and minimal knowledge of work holding. Typically 4-6 years of experience

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

* Should have basic shop math skills, and be comfortable reading blue prints and understanding GD&T tolerance.
* Should have an understanding of Lean manufacturing processes and knowledge of high volume production.
* He or She should have their own tools and be able to read and operate Calipers, OD Micrometers, Height Gages, ETC.

Required Skills:

* Extensive knowledge of vertical and horizontal milling
* A thorough understanding of Fanuc style machine controls
* Ability to troubleshoot offset and programming errors
* Exposure to Makino Professional 5 machine control would be a plus
* Exposure to Catia and Vericut preferred but not required.
* Knowledge of Work Holding for Moderate Parts
* Knowledge of Bench Inspecting Moderate Complexity Parts
* Ability to Verify Accurate Set-Up Sheets
* Perform Simple and Moderate Complexity Set-ups

Required Experience

* Typical years of experience 4-6 years

Level of Education:

* GED or High School diploma preferred but not required
