Job Description

Wyman-Gordon, located in Grafton MA, is a major industrial manufacturer serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, power generation, and industrial businesses. Wyman-Gordon Grafton is a 1 million sq. ft. manufacturing facility with a 50,000 ton press, 35,000 ton press and 18,000 ton press for large titanium, steel and inconel closed die forgings. Wyman Gordon is part of a highly successful, multi-billion dollar diversified manufacturer, Precision Castparts Corporation (PCC).

MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER

The purpose of this position is to provide program support to both Manufacturing and the Product Engineering organizations. In this capacity, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans. This position will also be responsible for implementing cost reductions, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop Training program initiatives, and provide administrative and program support to Reengineering activities at the site.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans.
* Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area.
* Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems.
* Assist and develop training program initiatives.
* Provide Administrative support to Reengineering activities

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

* 4 Year degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or related Engineering field
* Strong knowledge of forging or metal working processes preferred
* Able to drive change in demanding atmosphere
* Strong communication and facilitation skills.
* Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques.

* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member.
* Good organizational and writing skills.
* Willingness to travel periodically to support other W-G facilities,
* Proficient with Excel and basic knowledge of VBA preferable
* Basic MaterCam knowledge a plus

US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.
