Description:Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The facility currently has over 1300 employees and provides products to six Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume high mix and high-volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.

Responsible for reviewing, critiquing, and approving all MPPs site wide to ensure product quality and ensure compliance to engineering requirements and command media. Assist with training and mentoring new MEs site wide. Assist with audits site wide.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing to include Continuous Improvement efforts
- Excellent communication, writing, and verbal skills
- Recognized as an effective mentor or trainer of new engineers.
-This facility requires special access and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
- Full knowledge of industry and company standards and practices, including IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-WHMA-A-620C, etc.
- Ability to manage and coordinate priorities across 20+ customers
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvement initiatives
- Experience leading or facilitating team meetings, including Structured Improvement Activities (SIAs)
- 4+ years of experience in a Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering role at a LM-MFC manufacturing site building CCAs and/or Wire Harnesses
- Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for several manufacturing processes
