Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will assist with trouble shooting issues that arise on the manufacturing floor. The engineer will also work on projects to increase product quality, increase productivity, and long term improvements that will improve the manufacturing area as a whole. This position will also be involved in the manufacturing job release process.
Primary Responsibilities
• Ensure manufacturing operations are running at an acceptable performance and quality standard.
• Evaluate key manufacturing processes, flow and implementation of new technology to increase production and quality.
• Conceptualize, design and implement automated manufacturing techniques by soliciting and evaluating input from customers, industry experts, vendors/suppliers and publications.
• Conduct prototypes, run experiments, solve problems
• Support shop processes, mechanical design/assembly, and documentation of shop processes.
• Manage projects to improve current machine operations.
• Support the job release process.
Minimum Education or Experience
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline.
• Knowledge of 6S, Lean, TOC and Six Sigma preferred.
• Technical Writing ability to communicate ideas effectively.
Other Qualifications
• Competency in MS office applications required.
• Competency in CAD software, preferable SolidWorks.
• CNC Turning/Milling experience preferred.
