Position Summary

Would you like to be a part of ensuring JetBlue executes the $250-$300M structural cost program recently announced? To continue growing profitably JetBlue needs to ensure they have a lean cost structure to effectively compete over the long term. In a highly visible role, the Structural Cost team is a trusted partner for senior leadership to influence and drive change within the business. The team will work in partnership with Airports, Commercial, Information Technology, People, Strategic Sourcing and Technical Operations to identify, analyze and execute long term scalable cost savings initiatives.

The Manager will drive and lead up to eight cost saving initiatives for a specific department(s) which will deliver impactful financial results. The position will entail spending time in the operation to understand the opportunities, leading the project by bringing all relevant parties to the table to execute the identified roadmaps while providing change management expertise, analytical and execution support.

Essential Responsibilities

*

Manage a large scale cross functional program containing up to ten initiatives, including analysis, project planning, reporting and execution

*

Learn and understand the business at a detailed level in order to propose solutions to overcome operational challenges and roadblocks

*

Ability to identify cost savings opportunities at the enterprise level and then analyze, develop, execute and implement change

*

Assume a high level of responsibility to challenge the organization to think differently about gaining scale through tools and technology to drive efficiencies

*

Build a strong and trusting partnership with respective leadership to achieve scalable and financially beneficial solutions

*

Manage and provide direction in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment to deliver results

*

Develop and deliver thoughtful and holistic communication on the program to leadership

*

Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis and each of the respective business owners to manage short term and long term financial expectations and results

*

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

*

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field

*

Five (5) years of consulting or business analysis experience

*

Two-(2) years of leadership experience

*

Experience project managing cross functional teams to deliver results

*

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

*

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite

*

Strong attention to detail, analytical and presentation skills

*

Excellent written and verbal communication including interactions with executive leadership

*

Available for occasional overnight travel (15%)

*

Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

*

Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

*

Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

*

Previous aviation related or change management experience

Crewmember Expectations:

*

Regular attendance and punctuality

*

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

*

Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

*

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

*

Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

*

Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))

Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

*

Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
