This announcement is for a Manager of Postal Affairs and Compliance for Ravn Air Group.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Airports and is responsible for
maintaining Ravn Alaska’s daily working relationship with the United States Postal Service
(USPS). The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of commercial or
military air cargo and airline operations, strong communication skills, and a high proficiency
with computers.

This is an exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position typically works Monday
through Friday in Anchorage, however overtime may be required as dictated by business
needs.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma/GED required, some college preferred; • Valid Alaska Driver’s License; • A minimum of five years knowledge and experience of commercial or military air cargo and airline

operations; • Requires the ability to be badged for Security Identification Display Area (SIDA); • Must have a high level of accuracy in computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word,
and Outlook; • Must have good interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills; • A desire to arrange transportation of goods to over 100 Alaskan communities; • Ability to navigate, collaborate and interpret (as applicable) USPS regulations, plus related local and
state rules and regulations; • Able to perform standard warehouse and freight operations including operating ground equipment
standard to the aviation industry; • Able to pass a background check; • Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with
operating aircraft. Duties & Responsibilities

• Meet the USPS air carrier requirements, specifically for; Transportation of Mail, Facilities, Schedules
Notifications, Equipment, and Air Carrier Safety; • Accountable to compile, verify and certify mail and flight data for Ravn Air Group; • Ability to anticipate and/or process changes in operation and logistic challenges; • Work in and promote a safe work environment; • Collaborate in efficient and effective route planning in ever changing environment; • Provide monthly executive level reporting and trending; • Mail-handling irregularity reporting and reporting accountabilities to include (but not limited to) transfer
of mail, transferred mail, reporting of mail, as it relates to compliance of rules, regulations, and
requirements related to transporting mail by air; • Accounting and review of mail revenues and reporting; • Review and analysis of air carrier’s submissions and data as required or requested; • Communicate regulatory requirements to ensure compliance by other departments and stations in
Alaska; • Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
