Airnorth, part of the Bristow group, is a leading regional airline operating over 300 scheduled services weekly, to over 20 destinations in Australia and abroad. In addition, Airnorth operates contract and ad-hoc charter services for a wide variety of companies
including defence, government and resources industries.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role has responsibility for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the airline is conducted in the most efficient manner, whilst ensuring safety and compliance are not compromised. The role provides guidance
to the Operations Control Centre team and other stakeholders to ensure operational and commercial interests are balanced and appropriate plans are implemented, especially during times of flight and roster disruption. The role requires flexibility, additional
hours and on-call availability.

Applicants possessing the following will be highly regarded:-

- Thorough knowledge of airline operations and applicable rules and regulations.

- Cross-functional understanding of airline business units.

- Ability to interpret aviation weather, NOTAMS and other industry-specific documentations.

- Working experience of interpretation and application of industrial agreements and awards.

- Relevant experience in airline operations/crew control/flight planning/load control or related functions.

- Experience in use of relevant airline software systems.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Decision-making and negotiation skills.

- Staff leadership experience including performance counseling and direct supervision/ management.

- Ability to work under pressure, with tight timelines and solve problems.

- Prioritisation and time management skills.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to obtain and retain an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC).
