You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Lead the engineering team responsible to support the Green Aircraft Modification line. This includes the investigation of engineering related problems (Systems and Structures related), proposing short and long term solutions and execute the change management cycle effectively and within the required engineering targets.
- In addition to resolving design related issues, lead the systems team responsible for Andon support during the investigation and resolution of systems related issues encountered during the Functional Tests execution.
- Assign, coordinate and review the technical work of the reporting individuals
- Develop, maintain and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Modline engineering team
- Maintain constant cross functional, inter and intra-departmental communication
- Support and present (as required) the engineering status during Modline Operation reviews
- Develop and control departmental budget including resource loading
- Support the employees to reach their business and professional development goals
- Maintain the technical and managerial competence of all staff
- Complete Performance management including objectives settings and reviews

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a minimum university bachelor degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the aerospace industry
- You have proven experience in technical management is prerequisite for this position
- You possess strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills including cross-functional teamwork skills are considered essential.
- You have proven experience in working in an Operation environment is an asset (Final Assembly Line)
- You possess strong knowledge of the Global 7000 Design is an asset
- You have ability to take the initiative and make sound decisions in changing circumstances
