Based at our Head Office in Melbourne, we are seeking an Engineering Assurance Manager to take ownership of Jetstar’s Audit Program encapsulating all major suppliers including CASR Part 145 AMO’s, external maintenance providers and OEM’s. This role will be pivotal in the communication of findings from audits and other assurance activities to ensure Engineering achieves and maintains the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Safety, Quality and Compliance, your main accountabilities will include:

* Management of the Jetstar CAMO audit program and resources

* Develop a comprehensive network to help inform JANZ management of risks and issues across the supplier base

* Utilise other relevant audit collateral including from Jetstar, Jetstar Group, Qantas and industry (eg. CASE)

* Liaise with CASA, other authorities and stakeholders in relation to the audit program and the associated outcomes

* Develop and maintain strategic relationships within the Jetstar Group, the Qantas Group, and throughout the industry I relation to audits

* Develop effective partnership opportunities with all OEM’s, AMO’s and MRO’s

* Drive business/process improvement and initiatives across the department

* Manage, guide, develop and support the audit team

* Investigate and review incidents and OSCAR reports, and assist in implementation of corrective action

* Building relationships with internal and external engineering stakeholders

* Encourage and promote in achieving a safe and healthy workplace

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* LAME qualification or Professional Engineer qualification required, a tertiary qualification in Aviation/Engineering/ Management desirable

* Lead Auditor trained required

* Detailed understanding of aviation legislation required

* Process driven, with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals required

* Highly level of motivation and commitment to continuous improvement required

* Experience in leading audits in a highly regulated industry required
