About Your Job
The Manager E-Commerce Sales is responsible for managing and directing the organisation in reaching the set E-Commerce sales and transactional target; this is achieved through the management of a Doha based online sales team supporting the network as well as the team of E-Commerce Regional Direct Sales Managers based in the regions. In this role you will be responsible to increase the direct sales channel share and self-servicing penetration; you will play a key part in lowering overall cost of sales for the airline and generating incremental non air revenues by managing ancillary sales via the online channel. You will also manage global online sales initiatives and will ensure a clear and balanced e-sales strategy and synergy with OTAs.
About YouTo be successful in this role you will need to have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent and minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the field of online sales in a E-Commerce department; you also have prior experience working in a head office of a multi-national company, experience working in a field sales or marketing position.
It is essential to have in depth understanding of the airline industry and the specific sales, marketing and distribution mechanisms; solid knowledge of core sales, digital marketing and online applications; advanced knowledge of online sales and digital marketing technologies and latest industry trends across online retail and travel. You have strong managerial and coaching skills with the ability to delegate work, set clear directions and manage workflow.
