Job Role:
We are seeking experienced B1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers who have worked on the Embraer 170/190 family of aircraft, or aircraft of similar technology, to join our Maintenance Control team as a Maintrol Engineer, this role is based in our Head Office at Didsbury, Manchester.
As a Maintrol Engineer you are the first point of contact for technical issues on the operational fleet. You will be responsible for the short term planning of scheduled maintenance, defect control and assisting towards the technical reliability of the fleet.
The role also requires a proactive approach to supporting the fleet across the BA CityFlyer network, coordinating AOG recovery, ad-hoc and scheduled maintenance inputs. You will have the opportunity to gain and maintain company authorisation on the BA CityFlyer aircraft types.
Working closely with Operations and Materials, the role can be very challenging as can be expected in a busy operational environment. There is a requirement to coordinate work relative to the available engineering resources while working to tight timescales returning aircraft back to service in a safe and timely manner. This role will involve travel on an ad-hoc basis.
Strong influencing and communicating skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously are also essential requirements for the role.
