Position Description:

Job Summary

The Technician II will be responsible for repair and maintenance for all production equipment. Maintain all production equipment as necessary to include troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance and program back-up. Position will procure parts and maintain stock of replacement parts/materials. The Technician II will assist in the installation of all new equipment/tooling as necessary and within time limits dictated by manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

The Technician II will need experience in maintenance and repair of production equipment to include but not limited to component insertion, pick and place, wave solder, conveyors, and compressors required. Pneumatics, Hydraulics, electrical, HVAC certifications are a plus.

Specific Responsibilities

Maintain equipment/tooling used in production of product:
Troubleshoot and repair as necessary.
Perform periodic maintenance on production equipment in a timely manner in order to avoid downtime.
Perform periodic program back-ups on specified equipment.
Maintain spare replacement parts as necessary to facilitate repairs quickly.
Procure parts necessary for equipment maintenance.
Assist in installations of new equipment.
Some evening and weekend work will be necessary.
Must be able to work overtime when warranted

Position Requirements:

Experience

The Technician II must have 3-5 years of experience. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

Education

High School diploma required. CIMM a plus. Pneumatics, Hydraulics, electrical, HVAC certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important as it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.
Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
