Machinists 2nd Shift

STS Technical Services is Hiring Machinists in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin!

Proficient in machining practices and techniques, setups and tools to supply other departments with quality service parts. Ensure production demands are met and train department employees.

This is a DIRECT HIRE Position

Duties and Responsibilities

* Able to resolve equipment issues

* Able to edit existing programs to match print

* Knowledgeable in all required equipment setups

* Ensures production schedules are met within cell

* Computer proficient in applicable programs

* Able to call-up and recall existing programs

* Proficient in required Standard Operating Procedures for Department/Cell

* Meets quality expectations

* Ability to access and interpret prints

* Meets productivity expectations

* Proper use of department specific tools and measuring equipment

* Sustains inventory and parts replenishment systems

* Works from bill of materials and print shop paper

* Completes Industrial Lift Truck certification (as needed)

* Follows all safety guidelines

* Supports Continuous Improvement

* Helps and supports department meetings

* Trains department employees

* Supports department metrics

* Proficient in scrap out procedures

* Supports department metrics

* Proficient in scrap out procedures

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

Include education and years of experience required

* High school diploma or General Education Diploma graduate (courses in Industrial Arts preferred), and five (5) years of general machine shop experience required, ten (10) years preferred; or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and training

* Demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge of machining practices and techniques

* Ability to proficiently run CNC, manual, and turret lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, chucking and tap machines, bar feed, drills, grinders and saws
