Logistics Manager T45 Kingsville

Basic Function Summary:

Responsible for the overall management of material requirements and control necessary for support of the assigned program. Directs all personnel assigned to the Material Division. Serves as the Point of Contact on all material related issues. Reports to the Site Manager. Must have in depth knowledge of FAR Parts related to this contract as it applies to this contract and their responsibilities.

Must be customer oriented.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

In coordination with other T45 site logistics managers, T45 Supply Chain Manager, and PMO Quality Manager, establish and maintain written procedures for the proper control of Government Furnished Property.

Ensures shipment of detachment pack ups and retrogrades.

Coordinates all shipping requirements.

Submit changes to established procedures ensuring all functions are consistent with written procedures.

Establish and maintain stocking levels of Government Property to ensure materials are available to meet maintenance requirements.

Maintain inventory at lowest possible cost to the Government.

Interface with Government counterparts on issues involving procedural deficiencies.

Enforce all Company and Government safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Enforce all Company and Government policies pertaining to site operations as well as Division specific policies.

Maintain accurate records of Government Property throughout the acquisition and disposition process.

Expeditiously respond to employee suggestions/concerns pertaining to potential improvements within the Material Division.

Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations including participation in FOD walk down when directed.

Responsible for adhering to the Company Tool Control Program.

Qualifications

Qualification Standards:

The Logistics Manager will have a high school diploma with 12 years of base/installation level supply experience within the last 12 years, 5 of which must have been in material facilities and stock record control activities; or Associates degree with 6 years of base/installation level supply experience within the last 12 years. 4 of which must have been in material facilities and stock record control activities; or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of base/installation level supply experience within the last 12 years, 2 of which must have been in material facilities and stock record control activities The Supply Manager will have experience in, and be capable of managing supply functions such as storage, issue, inspection, research, repairable processing, shipping, receiving, warehousing, aircraft maintenance support, preparing MILSTRIP requisitions, and accounting for aircraft parts and equipment.

The Logistics Manager shall be thoroughly familiar with the specifics of military logistics support procedures and FAR Parts used to support material requirements. The Logistics Manager shall be experienced in coordinating requirements submitted by the material/supply foreman and providing necessary interface among the weapon systems manager, cognizant field activity, and as applicable to T/M/S. The Logistics Manager shall be capable of making recommendations concerning the functions of the Logistics operations at all supply/logistics meetings.

The Logistics Manager shall have knowledge of and the ability to initiate reports of surveys, validate not-mission-capable supply/partial mission-capable supply status, and perform budget accounting. The Supply Manager shall have experience in aviation maintenance and updating of aircraft data collection systems files. The Logistics Manager shall have demonstrated capability in using automated information systems using automated information systems (Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) preferred).

The Logistics Manager shall also have:

•Extensive working knowledge of Government Property Control/Procurement procedures.

•The leadership and management skills to direct assigned personnel to comply with established policies and procedures to support the Navy’s T-45 Program.

•Ability to successfully communicate both orally and in writing.

•May be required to travel on Company business.

•Must be able to obtain a level of security clearance required by the government.

Physical Demands:

This classification activity is usually accomplished in a warehouse environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with warehouse activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
