We are looking for a Locomotive Technician/Foreman for our Sanford, Florida facility.

In your role as a Locomotive Technician, you will:

.

- This highly technical position will be required to provide expertise in trouble shooting electrical & mechanical issues with locomotives.

- Work with, evaluate and participate with the training necessary to develop the workforce to be a safe/efficient & skilled team.

- Provide the necessary coaching, mentoring and hands on training of all employees assigned.

- Identifies problematic systems/parts to ascertain performance failures using diagnostic and faultfinding techniques.

- Interfaces with client technical staff to identify technical reliability solutions.

- Continually proposes improvement to equipment, practices and maintenance programs.
- Provides guidance, support and training to staff on the execution of the maintenance program
- Investigates identified problematic systems / parts to ascertain cause of performance failure. To diagnose diagnostic software to enable the root cause to be identified
- Interfaces with client technical and facility staff on technical subject
- Support the training group with formal hands-on technical training
- Support the Quality Assurance of the product with technical and compliance audits
- Assists in the development of modifications and equipment testing
- Proposes improvement to equipment, practices and maintenance program

Qualifications

Qualification
Required

- Journeyman level Electrician, Diesel mechanic or A&P
- Must have a proven track record with Locomotive repair or building with regards to electrical systems and diesel mechanics
