About the Role
Working in our Service Delivery department at Bristol Airport, you will play a vital role in ensuring that flights are fully catered and depart on time. This will involve the packing of stores items for flights, loading and unloading of bar and catering equipment from our airport side location on to one of our 17 tonne rigid vehicles then accompanying one of our Class 2 Drivers airside to load/unload onto the plane.
Due to the nature of the role you will be required to do a lot of lifting, bending and stretching. The role will also require you to liaise with cabin crew from a variety of airlines we serve, to facilitate the transfer of catering equipment to and from the vehicle. Occasionally, you will be required to conduct small vehicle runs with uplifts or additional stock.
Contracts are for up to 40 hours per week until October working shifts on a 4 on 2 off rota basis and will include a mixture of evening and weekends.
About You
* Full, UK Driving Licence with less than 6 points
* You must have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
* You must enjoy working as part of team in a fast moving environment where deadlines are tight to ensure that flights depart on time.
* Basic numeracy skills
* Basic checking skills
If you are successful we will provide you with full training on all our processes and systems. As part of our recruitment process we carry out a full 5 year employment check and criminal records check on all successful applicants in order to comply with Civil Aviation Authority regulations. This can take up to 4 weeks to complete.
