Purpose

This person is responsible for the instructional design processes and standards across The Learning Academy to ensure that all learning experiences are impactful and beneficial to our people. Working with technology vendors, they design and oversee on-demand learning experiences and platforms. They drive the creation and adaptation of learning technology tools such as virtual classrooms, mobile, gamification, augmented solutions and portal solutions. They are accountable for the design and development of the Academy’s learning records platform in line with Academy needs and strategy.

Key responsibilities and tasks

* Manage instructional design processes and standards across the Academy with a strong focus on customer-related learning

* Manage learning technology vendors and performance

* Design self-directed / on-demand learning strategies, experiences and platforms

* Drive the creation and adaptation of learning technology tools and methods: virtual classrooms, mobile, gamification, augmented solutions and portal solutions

* Build rapid content creation capabilities through authoring tools and video production

* Design and manage learning records management strategy, process and platforms 

Qualifications / Experience

* 10+ years of business experience - including roles in related Learning/Design management

* Experience in setting learning design standards (classroom, e-learning, informal learning, digital)


* Strong understanding of learning technology management and application of modern learning design principles


* Strong influencing and collaborative mind-set to advise across all Academy functions

* Facilitation skills to deliver sessions

* Specialist team leadership capability and experience

* Experience in an airlines environment an advantage
