CMM Program – Learning Designer The Crew Manager / MINT (CMM) Program is responsible for the delivering a replacement solution for Virgin Australia’s crew rostering, training and qualifications management needs. This includes: * Replacing our existing crew management system with a new system from Sabre to manage crew rosters * Replacing our existing system for managing crew training and qualifications requirements with a new system from MINT The change will have a significant impact on current business processes and dramatically improve our end-to-end crewing experience for our 4,700~ flight and cabin crew as well as teams from Network Operations including Crew Control and Crew Planning Services. In addition to Network Operations system changes, the most significant impact on crew is the implementation of Sabre Crew Access, a mobile application and portal that will give our crew an unprecedented level of access and functionality to manage their rosters and leave. Job role As a Learning Designer joining the CMM Program you will work closely with representatives from two system vendors – Sabre and MINT – as well subject matter experts (SMEs), Business Analysts and other representatives from Network Operations, Flight Operations and Customer Experience & Product as required. The core tasks you will perform on the Program are: * learn and become familiar with two new IT systems being introduced: an airline Crew Management system (Sabre Crew Manager) and a training and qualifications system (MINT) through training provided by the vendors * learn and become familiar with business context in which these systems will be used, associated business processes and systems * develop face-to-face training and support materials (facilitator’s guides, learner’s workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, quick reference guides) using tools and templates supplied by the program * develop materials in accordance with a ‘present, practice & production’ methodology that will support leaners ability to acquire new knowledge and skills, provide opportunity to practice and develop those skills leading to an ability to produce those skills on demand * work closely with business SMEs, vendor representatives and business analysts to incorporate business process and standard operating procedure (SOP) information and context into training materials * facilitate the delivery of initial and refresher face-to-face training to small (<6 learners) audience groups of existing business users * support end users as a ‘System Champion’, familiar with the functionality of the two new systems at the time of cut-over. Additionally, depending on your experience and familiarity with eLearning software tools, the role will include: * assist with the development of eLearning and/or system simulation video content using Adobe Captivate or similar eLearning development software. * assist with the delivery of remote (web) facilitated training * assist with the management of content on SharePoint. Where you do not already have these eLearning or SharePoint skills the role will include the opportunity to develop these with an experienced team member.
