What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our DHS team in the National Capital Region (NCR). CACI is providing a variety of IT services to this customer including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.

CACI is looking for an experienced Lead Solutions Engineer to support the DHS Continuous Diagnostic & Monitoring PMO in all phases of the CDM implementation, and maintenance for DHS Headquarters and Components. The DHS CDM PMO ensures DHS data centers, CMaaS Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS) tools were integrated to manage assets across the DHS enterprise network. Management of these tools requires planning, provisioning, configuration, maintenance, sensors, data feeds and governance.

More About the Role:

The Lead Solutions Engineer will provide solutions engineering balancing technical and non-technical approaches to solve business problems and defining a solution. The Lead Solutions Engineer will provide engineering services in the execution of system requirements analysis, design, development, implementation and system lifecycle maintenance.

* Strong communication, analytics knowledge and expertise of design and testing tools, negotiation, and follow-up capabilities
* Experience leading teams, delegating work to subordinates, quality control, and performance reviews
* Knowledge of the CDM integration, operations, deployment, phases, and transition efforts
* Understanding of the DHS Components’ technical issues and concerns, and propose resolutions
* Knowledge of the CMaaS Multi-Tier and Systems Security best practices (including Operations & Maintenance)
* Understanding of Operational Test Readiness Review (OTRR) and Operational Readiness Review (ORR) and other DHS SELC Gate reviews and technical documents for sign-off
* Demonstrated technical writing and engineering diagram development capabilities
* Experience with Systems Engineering & Product Development Lifecycles including Technical Architecture design and build out knowledge
* Research and review requirements, designs, and engineering configurations for all CDM
* phases.
* Review business requirements documents; concepts, functional descriptions, and design
* documentation.
* Review licensing, production hardware and software requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), training and other documentation.
* Collaborate with other components within DHS on a variety of IT projects and programs to increase the cybersecurity posture of DHS.
* Assist DHS in evaluating commercial-style technologies and best-of-breed techniques being deployed by CDM integrator to optimize the DHS cybersecurity posture.
* Review documentation and make recommendations on test documents; performance testing, independent verification and validation; integration testing; user acceptance tests; test reports; SOPs, training and other documentation.
* Coordinate with components on future CDM requirements.
* Support reviews of the CDM program and provide recommendations on required approvals; release notices; move from test environment to production environment; and deployed solutions.

* Public Trust (Active Secret Clearance preferred)
* DHS EOD Eligible (Active EOD preferred)
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field and fifteen years of related work experience
* Project Management – experience managing and leading teams
* Detail oriented – must be able to recognize critical elements of successful engineering operations and hold themselves and their teams accountable for meeting those critical elements
* Flexible – The environment is highly dynamic. You will be expected to keep up with the changing environment while ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness
* Team Player – This role is part of a larger team. You will be expected to perform as part of a team positively contributing to morale and well-being while supporting the overall goals of the program

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Familiarity with CDM tools such as Splunk, Archer, ForeScout, CyberArk, BigFix/ResOne, ServiceNow, Atlassian Suite, MS Office 2013, SharePoint 2013
