After our fantastic success in 2017, we now have some great opportunities for Lead Ramp Agents to join our Ground Operations Team at Birmingham Airport.
Reporting to the Ramp Supervisor Team, this role is responsible for the day to day team allocation and overseeing of the shift. Key responsibilities include -
Reporting to the Ramp Supervisor Team, this role is responsible for the day to day team allocation and overseeing of the shift. Key responsibilities include -
- The efficient allocation of the Ramp Team on shift including planning and coordinating duties for the Ramp Agent and Baggage Loader Teams
- Ensuring safe and efficient handling of our flights and adherence with company standards and legal requirements, in line with our safety first culture
- Conducting team briefs and completing any required reporting during the shift
- Ensuring the delivery of an effective and friendly service that meets the needs of our customers and promotes our brand values
Working in all weather conditions, this is a varied and fulfilling role with both colleague and operational responsibility. This position involves working on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility to support the operation.
The successful candidate will already be demonstrating Role Model behaviours. You will have extensive ramp handling experience and a sound knowledge of a wide range of ramp duties including pushbacks, marshalling, towing and headsets. With experience of coaching others and overseeing teams on shift, you will have excellent communication skills with a natural ability to lead and motivate your colleagues. You will also be a supportive team player with a positive and flexible approach.
For all our airside roles you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and pass a Medical, administered by the airport.
