Lead Engineer Optional Equipment
Your Responsibilities:
- Join of mechanical components / systems of the pre-development on the prototype design to manufacturing feasibility and definition of manufacturing processes
- Design / development, analysis and optimization of mechanical components and systems
- Creating, updating and management of 3D models and drawings
- Development and production of product and process documentation (design and manufacturing process)
- Creating basic designs as a basis for feasibility studies and the dimensioning of the critical components to full functionality
- Ensure the smooth running of development projects through the instruction of and close cooperation with various internal bodies, such as designers, SCM, engineering, installation, etc.
- Partial direct communication with the relevant regulators (eg EASA, FOCA, FAA)
- To plan and monitor type tests, production of prototypes and the management of the components in the operational process
- Supervision of mechanical components in production through monitoring and control of process parameters in the production investment and series production
- Elaboration of project plans
Your Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in the fields of aerospace and mechanical engineering
- 5 + years of experience in the development of mechanical / mechatronics systems is a must
- Sound knowledge and experience with 3D CAD design, especially composite design advantage
- SAP user skills / fundamentals
- Very good German and English, spoken and written
- Experience with NX V10 beneficial
- High degree of independence and communication skills
- Experience of Project & Configuration Management, as well as Design To Cost
- Structured and well-organised with a strong ability to handle a high volume of work
- Flair for working in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
- Team player and motivated
