ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. Zenetex is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to provide support for our training systems development and modifications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities · Analyzes documentation to determine system impact and to develop software changes · Performs the work necessary to design, develop, document, test, integrate, and modify operating systems and application software · Develops, creates, troubleshoots, and modifies specialized utility programs and applications in support of real-time systems · Performs hardware and software development planning in the incorporation of hardware and software modifications · Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle · Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions · Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code Education and Experience Requirements * B.S. in electronics or computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent * Minimum of an IAT-I certificationRequired within six (6) months after contract award or date of hire * At least three (1) year of practical experience in software development * Familiar with software development and diagnostic tools * Knowledge of and experience in software engineering principles and development * Programming languages may include Assembly, C, C++, Microsoft .Net (C#, VB), and Java. Operating Systems will include Microsoft Windows, as well as various Unix flavors, such as Linux * Familiar with scripting languages (JavaScript, VB Script, Python. LUA, etc.), object-oriented programming, XML, ASP, ASP.Net and HTML Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
