Position Overview:
To provide Configuration and Data Management support to Aerospace programs/projects, with emphasis on the update and maintenance of the aircraft technical record. To provide administrative and technical support to Aerospace Engineering. To carry out assigned projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Review of new and revised drawings and drawing supplements (MEOs)
* Review and release of engineering deliverables (CDRLs and SRQs).
* Update and maintenance of PDMPlus
* Support engineering activities by assigning unique identifiers for engineering documentation (Reports, TMs, PCNs, MEOs, SINs etc)
* Prepare Engineering project schedules in response to project details provided by Engineering.
* Monitoring incorporation of modification leaflets into affected drawings.
* Support the CP140 Programs through review and processing of Requests for Engineering Services Non-Standard Repairs and Requests for Deviations and Waivers
* Coordinating the preparation and release of Publication Change Notices.
* Providing assistance to Engineering and Production personnel.
* Researching and assembling material to write a consolidated report of TLIR and periodic reports
* Participating in Review Meetings as applicable.
* Preparing outgoing messages, facsimile, letters, etc.
* Assist in the preparation of in-house Standard Plant Procedures (SPPs), Administrative Directives (ADs), reports, Directives, memorandums, etc.
* Carry out SPP mandated audits of Engineering drawings and documentation.
* Liaise with customers concerning project details.
* Respond to customer inquiries, carrying out research as required.
* Generate and deliver Technical Data Action Notices (TDANs) to the customer
* Carry out other duties/projects as assigned by the Manager, CM/DM.
Position Requirements:
* Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent, plus two years post-secondary training in a related technical field.
* Hands on experience in a related technical field with an additional one year experience in configuration management.
* One year experience in database management is a requirement.
* Technical writing skills and experience, combined with a solid technical background.
* Thorough knowledge of DND Engineering Administrative procedures and standards.
* Detailed knowledge of configuration control and drawing standards.
* Proficient in MS Office suite
* Good attention to detail
* Self motivated and efficient

* Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 8S activities in your area.
* Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.
