JET Intern Flight Ops - A220 Standards and Training

Position Summary

The JetBlue Emerging Talent (JET) internship program provides skill & professional development through participation in the developing real-world business solutions that support the delivery of strategic business initiatives. Throughout the program, interns participate in a robust programming including professional development activities, cross-functional projects, senior leader exposure, networking, and community service. The JET Program provides interns the opportunity to immerse themselves into the aviation industry while developing specific career interest or areas of study.

The A220 Standards and Training Intern will be responsible for assisting the A220 Standards and Training Team with general administrative tasks as well as involvement, coordination, and ownership of various departmental projects.

Essential Responsibilities

* Responsible for covering and assisting the A220 Fleet Captain with general administrative tasks (i.e. preparing various reports, ordering supplies, authoring internal communications, etc.)
* Assist in the design and development of A220 program supporting documentation
* Assist in various redesign projects
* Design and develop online or instructor-led learning modules solely or cooperatively with team members
* Troubleshooting and quality reviews of manuals, courseware and products
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university in related field
* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Excellent organizational and analytical skills
* Excellent team and interpersonal skills
* Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Ability to work well under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
* Strong research, analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
* Ability to be flexible, to prioritize multiple task assignments, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
* Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
* Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

* Bachelor’s Degree in Learning Design, Business Administration, or Aviation
* Private Pilot License or beyond

Crewmember Expectations:

* Regular attendance and punctuality
* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
* Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
* Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
* Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
* Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
